Hi.
I've got an old 1.1 xbox with a Thompson DVD Drive.
I installed the Xecuter 2.6 mod with the xapter soderless.
On the chip, it has FlashBios 2.6.0 which doesnt give an option to flash by http.
My problem is that I've tried to get it to read the bios.bin from CD's and DVD's that I've made, but to no avail.
Here's exactly what I've done so far:
1. I downloaded tghe newest X2 bin file (256KB).
2. Made it into a 512KB file using X2BM.
3. I made a dummy file. (Different sizes - 100MB on cd-rw, and 300MB on DVD+R)
4. Burned them using nero.
5. Turned on xbox with flash protect disabled and chip is on bank 1 (bank 2 seems to
be empty, FlashBios 2.6.0 comes up.
6. Selected "Flash via CD". CD-rom opens up.
Now here's the problem. I've tried a memorex cd-rw, a TDK 8x DVD+R, and a regular generic no-name cd-r (i know thompson doesn't read cd-r, but i tried it anyway).
But every time I put in the disc, it tries to read from the disc, but then spits it back out. It doesn't detect the bios.bin file on the discs I have made.
Is the problem with the media I am using, or is it the way I made the bios.bin for the disc, is it a problem with the bank I am using, or is it a combination?
