Hello.

I have some strange problems with my 1.6 XBOX.
I did my mistake yesteday when flashed my box with "flashbios_v303.bin". I did this under X3 Live menu. I flashed it to bank 1, where was my original "X3 3294 v16plus.bin" As I remember some time ago, I also flashed "m8_16.bin" to some of the banks. Now, when xbox starts i can see in upper left corner Evo-X sign. Also, I flashed my "X3 3294 v16plus.bin" to backup bank. I think i did, but i am not sure. I want to flash my box back to "X3 3294 v16plus.bin", and be able to run games and other stuff, but i can't do this because I can't start FlashBios :( I know for sure it was working two weeks ago, because I showed how to flash bios to my friend. Today I resoldered PIN's 13-16, still the same result :( I can see purple light only for couple of seconds, and then it swtiches back to blue and continue booting with Evo-X sign :( Even if i keep pressing eject button and purple light will be on, still nothing. I can't see FlashBios. Is there any options how to recover my box? Is there any bootable medias that can help flash bios? P.S. My HDD is empty. No MS DASh, no nothing. Please help

have you tried booting from all the different banks?
try on,on,off,off or off,on,off,off ( these are the 1mb banks )
if not try all the 256k bank settings. if you are lucky one of them may contain flashbios.
If not then yes you can boot another working x3 xbox into configlive and hotswap your chip into it and then reflash your chip in the already running xbox.

I tried all banks but no FlashBios :( OK, i will try to get working X3 XBOX and flash it. Can i just unplug working X3 chip form XBOX and put mine on working XBOX? Do i have to connect all wires?

BEFORE you start this: check that you have got TWO blue leds and a red or green led lit up on your chip in your xbox. If not don't do anything and let me know.

I haven't had to do this myself but from what I have read you just start up the working xbox into the x3 configlive bios, then carefully pull the chip off the header.
Take the 5 volt wire (if it's a v1.6 it has the alternate 5volt supply through the red wire instead of the pinheader) off the original chip and put it on yours then place your chip onto the pinheader. You can then proceed to flash the backup bios from one of the menu options in config live. Once you have reflashed the backup bios with the correct cromwell bios turn off.
Put your chip back into your xbox connecting all wires back up and boot it into the backup bios and then set the switches to on,on,off, off with protect off and flash it with 3294 v1.6.
Let me know how you go on.

Thanks for this hint!!
Unfortunately I did my steps, and then read your post

I finally got my XBOX back to work. I did these steps.
1) I find one working X3CE chip and instaled it in my XBOX (1.6).
2) Then I booted into FlashBios screen.
3) Carefully removed X3CE chip, unplugged all wires (5V, D0 and Pro Switch)
4) Plugged in my old X3 chip, connect 5v, D0 and Pro switch wires
5) Run Load bios from HDD (I had dir on c:\bios, with x3_3294_v1_16.bin)
6) Set switches to on on off off off and successfully flashed my chip :) !

Now I want to sell X3CE chip :)
