Alright so I'm trying to flash my falcon and no matter what I did I would always get 3 bad blocks. So I decided to flash freeboot anyways but now when I turn on the xbox it freezes on the boot logo. Then I flashed it to XBR and it works? Any ideas on why it would do that?

Generally, freeboot doesn't like bad blocks and in most cases you'll need to remap the blocks.

Look at the stickies in homebrew section there's a tutorial on how to remap bad blocks. If you still struggling then let us know.

The problem you're having is simply because of the bad blocks. Just remap those bad blocks and you will be fine.

I remapped my original nand before creating freeboot.
You have to remap the freeboot image exactly like you remapped the original NAND. Then after remapping, write the image to the NAND. This time it will work fine.

Should I remap the bad blocks before making the freeboot image or just remap the freeboot image?
No need to remap the original. Get the original NAND dump which contains un-remapped Bad Blocks and use it to make the freeBOOT image. After making the freeBOOT image, you will notice that the Bad Blocks have magically disappeared from the freeBOOT image. Just remap the newly created freeBOOT image exactly like the original NAND dump as if the freeBOOT image had Bad Blocks at the same place as the original NAND dump. Then write the freeBOOT image to your console. It should work then.
