Program to copy dvds, but not dvd2xbox

Is their any program that lets you put a dvd on your xbox into divx form or something that will compress the file into less than a gig. Otherwise the dvd goes to the harddrive using dvd2xbox takes up like 7 gig. please help

No, use your computer to rip and DivX your movies. The hardware specs on the Xbox is not enough for this kind of operation, it would take days.

i love people that think encoding a movie to divx or xvid (properly) is done with just a touch of a button... go read up... its quite a process.

Can you rip movies and games onto your hard drive without the use of a program? like using a hacked bios of something like that? because im not good with making xbox discs, i have read the tutorials.
