Hey guys,
just wanted to program my coolrunner for my slim to glitch, but I do not own the NAND-X, as I read my NAND with a cygnos360 (going to use it for a dual boot).
I have the LPT JTAG cable and I also have an LPT connector on the mainboard.

Is is possible to grab the 3v3 and GND by the mainboard? So I just have to install the coolrunner like it is descriped in the wire install, am I right and then program it?

I think I've readed through all of them already. It always says "NAND-X" is required/recommended but I don't see a point why it is?

Although I can't seem to find a guide to program the coolrunner with out the NAND-X.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Yes, I bought this cable from an Xecuter Reseller as stated in the OP.

So I can use the MB to power it while programming? (I don't have the NAND-X)

That power cord is meant to go to a CK3, but yes you can just plug it to the motherboard if you dont have one

I used my ck3 lite and a butchered dvd conector and just soldered that to the 3.3v and gnd on the coolrunner.

First, if you dont want nand-x update method then go for LPT update by Xilinx lab tools.
for that you can follow Gigli's schematics of LPT jtag cable.

for powering:
1. 3.3v you can take from your PC mobo power supply (orange cable) , for more info please search this forum.
2. Or you can connect 3.3v CR pad to xbox mobo installation point and go for flashing.

Both of these are extremely stable 3.3v supply

Or even if you didn't get any of these you can uses 1.5v AAA battery (2 pcs in serial) as a replacement.

Happy modding!

Well, maybe i've done something wrong now, maybe not. I connected the red and black cable now like it is described in the installation guide? So I have 3,3 V by the red cable and GND by the black cable.

So is this enough to program it?

Also: Do I have to turn my xbox on when trying to program it? Or is standby enough? (i also readed I have to put in the AV Cable)

btw.: I think I could just have used the cable coming with the coolrunner and plug it to the xbox... sh*t now the cable is too short -.-

Yes !

Standby is enough ! just connect power brick to Xbox, don't turn it on. Notice that your power brick only had orange light !

Confused here, what cablw you are talking ! the red and black cable are at optimum length, also there is a white cable which indicates powering through CK3i, which is in this case irrelevant because you got that 3.3v from xbox mobo !
