you will need to flash the X3 bios onto the chip, and then install a dash i.e. evox

read the guides on the right side of the team xecuter homepage....also try xbox-scene.com and look for the guide to using #xbins. if you still can't figure it out then you shouldn't have a bought a modchip. this site and xbox-scene alone are enought to solve 100% of your problems.

If you just want to play your backed-up games, you only need to flash the bios.. It is not essential to load a dashboard.... Handy though!

When u hav a modchip, u can do a lot of things. Besides playing backed games u can turn ur xbox into a media center, install emulators, browse the internet (after installing a version of Linux that is capable with the XBOX). When u install linux, it will almost turn ur xbox into a computer. To transfer thinfs to ur xbox,u will need to put it on ur LAN. If u dont hav a Local Area Network, u can get a crossover network cable which u can connect ur computer to ur xbox.
When u set up FTP,it will let u FTP games to ur xbox's Hard Drive. If u want to use it for playing backefd games,u should consider upgrading ur Hard drive.

(I g2g cause i am in school. i will post when i get home)

Lite on not in bios / probe seems to be dead

I have searched old post forgive me if this topic has been exploited.

I have a philips lite on drive connected via SATA IDE, i connected to one of the blue sata sockets, there is also a grey one but i decided to go with the blue as my cd burner is also connected to that colour socket.

I have gone with the procedure that requires you to hold the cd drive open but i still can't see the drive in bios, does the Lite on drive work with IDE.

Can i do to troubleshoot this, i wasn't sure if i needed the connectivity kit for the drive to be recognised. I would also like to know which kit would be best.

Thank you.

thanks joe

what do i use for the lite on ( 74850c version )

i have read that with the lite on drive i need the ck3 and the probe to get the keys so i guess i will need to get those before i do anything else.

Re: error reister: 0x54 jugleflasher PLEASE HELP!!

yep, you will need the keys

you can also do this via the MRA hack, which involves soldering

ok, i would rather not do anything which involves soldering, besides i might of well make use of the probe as i have placed the order.
Thanks for the help joe, i felt like i hit a brick wall, the thing is when i start something i don't give up, no matter how long it takes.

Re: error reister: 0x54 jugleflasher PLEASE HELP!!

ck3 probe is not needed, you can aslo get keys by placing a small flat head screwdriver onto the two small seperated solderd pins located by 707 on the pcb, just hold the screwdriver in contact with the pins and press to unlock, this may take a few tries as they are tiny and it's quite hard to see. I made sure there was no contact with anything else when i did this.

Does this mean that my probe is dead? the green light comes on when i made contact with 707 but no keys were extracting. Im not sure if i was using it right but i did read the tutorial. CK3 pobe 2 was what i was using.
I did make sure everyhing was connected right.
