Projection TV tune up

Well, I am wicked lucky and my father bought me a 46" Toshiba Rear projection tv. only down side is that the three colors do not exactly line up, specifically on the right side it is noticable and detracts from the quality of the picture significantly. I was just wondering if it is possible to tune up a Projection Tv and if it is worth it the picture is sitll good but i want it to be great if it is possible.

You will need to gain access to your convergence menu to realign your colour guns.


You may need to actually get in contact with toshiba about how to access the menu as some of the models have a service menu that you are not supposed to be able to access.

Have a look in your menus anyway and see if you can see convergence as an option.

It will come up as one of two things or both.

White crosses in 8 sections of the screen - Look for colour bleed on the edges of the white crosses and adjust accordingly.

There is also a huge white grid that can be displayed on some models - Wich is a major convergence - ( Only really needed for fine tuning )
