Previously did a R-JTAG on a phat and things have changed quite a bit since then it seems. I have a Trinity that I want to put CR4 into and think I have read enough to get it done, but have questions about the blue wire vs IPEX cable.
1) I went ahead and bought an IPEX cable just because it was so cheap, but is this the best cable to use?
2) I have read lots about pulling off the pad due to the thickness of the wire, should I try blue wire first and then switch to IPEX if I can't get a consistent & fast glitch?
3) If I use the IPEX cable, does the shield on the wire side connect to anything?

From what I've read, it sounds like the CR4 is the chiz and should be super easy to install. Looking forward to getting it, too bad I couldn't get it from xconsoles though since they are closing up shop. That's where I bought all my stuff before and they were a great seller.

Thanks for any info on the cables!

imho the cr4 works so well you dont need anything special on the cpu rst line.but adding ipex can only help. the cable they talk about ripping up the point is the double sheilded cables on xconsoles.i would def stay way from those and stick to reg blue wire that comes with it,or ipex.try reg blue first.

Thanks so much! Will do. Another question, if I may be so bold, I understand that length is no longer a major issue with the CPU_RESET cable? Just cut it as short as possible and keep flat on the board?
