Proper flashing of FlashBios and X3 1959.

Ok, I am trying to upload the BIOS via FTP to flash.

Now my question is

1) Do I upload FlashBIOS v3.0.3 to one 256k location
(Making sure pin config is correct.)
2) Upload X3 1959 - 1024k to another location.
(When I say upload I mean FTP when in X3 Live Config).

Not sure why the two different BIOS's. Can anyone explain?

you dont need the flashBIOS just the x3 one if you want to reflash

What is the original flash for then?

to allow a re-flash with anything you want

like incase you crash your x3 bios while your screwing around, you can always turn to your backup and flash the x3 back on

K so im installing FW on my Halo 3 360. I have a BenQ drive. I have Jungle Flasher V0.1.70 Beta, and BenQ IX 1.61 FW pack, i have my 360 tore apart and have the JungleFlasher.exe, so how do i get my laptop to know that its a DVD drive, do i need drivers cause i wont finish installing it, im running Win XP, and have a SATA to USB 2.0 connector. Im clue less help pls.

K so i hooked it to my desktop and installed but i think i fudged up, how doo i tell if it installed correctly ?? N if not how do i fix this.

Yes read the jungleflasher tutorial, if you are still stuck by the end of that give me a shout on the JF irc i'll walk you through it.

Yeah i read it and it restarted and all but im not sure if u did it correctly, im using the 360 to power it. I also did not save my OFW well i did but i guess its wrong. So now what, sorry dnt have irc.

Yeah that link does not workk for me, im using a dell mini 9 to do this btw. So last night i was up to 4 with my dvd drive connected to my desktop useing usb i used a diff progreamand it installed benq 1.6 on my dvd drive, so how do i know if it actually installed ?

what ever program you use you have to read all 4 banks from the drive then you have to write to the drive on all 4 banks have you done that if so then your drive is flashed

Yepp i did that, so now what, so noobish but dnt know whats next i got it flasshed, piracy booo, homebrew maybe, what do you think also my dvd drive wont open unless i use the contorller to open it ??

now you can make back ups of your games.

is your drive still playing your games ?

if it is not then you didn't read the drive proper and all your 360 will be good for is a dvd player.

and your drive not opening could be that the eject bottom is not on properly make sure you have put it back together proper.

I'm more curious as to why the drive wont open on it's own. Maybe a new drive is needed.

Well Ive tried some games, no backed up ones, and xbox and xbox 360 both play fine, have not connected it yet to xbl, as for the drive i think i put it together a Lil wrong i have to use my 360 controller to power it on and off and to open n close the drive tray, the power button is stuck, but the drive button works fine, i ended up using i prep and it says it installed correctly and all, but i just realized some thing.

A. How do i tell if what FW i flashed i know there is like 2x and 4x and 8x and 12x, what r those for ??

B. My 360 was serviced 8/18/2009 is that the MFG date, or last time Microsoft had a go at it. (Previous RROD)

C. When making backups using a DVD drive do i use my 360 drive itself or a regular dvd with some flashed FW ?

D. Last thing, if i flashed the wrong FW can a flash a new one with i prep or jungleflasher ? Iprep says it saved mt OFW and i see the OFW .bin
