I've spent countless of hours trying to research CLK on board glitch chips but can never find any research on it.
I just ordered a coolrunner chip for a Jasper Xbox a friend gave to me and I know the coolrunner chip i bought has a on board CLK.

So question is I know you don't need to solder the CLK point on the xbox if the chip has a on board CLK as I have another RGH 1.2 that i bought and it as well didn't have a wired attach to either points for the CLK on the xbox and it was an instaboot every time,
but instead is there any PROs or CONs for disabling the on board clk on the chip and soldering into the xbox clk point? I wanna try and avoid the CLK on the xbox as my soldering skills are not perfect. Every tut i find is saying to remove the CLK point and install it using the xboxs CLK

The onboard clock point is less prone to asynchronous jitter, which was far more relevant when RGH was first born.

Thanks for the reply

So basically it will sync better or less likely to get jittery with the timing clock?
So for someone who have read horror stories about that clock point or issues with the ALT CLK point I can use the on board and hope for the best until i become comfortable about doing it?

To clarify the point on the Xbox is pointless if you already have a built in CLK on the chip? Thanks in advance, like mentioned i could never find any information on it.

The information was in the original release of rgh.
