Thats exactly what the problem would be, the Frame-Rate. If you tryed playing a Ps2 Game on an XBOX, it would look like a slideshow throughout the whole game. The XBOX just doesnt proccess that well and I really dont see a PS2 emulator coming that will be considered successful.my guess as we aint gonna see a quality PS2 emulator anytime soon (if at all) cause im sure emulating the ps2 on the xbox might not even be possible (atleast not possible at a decent frame rate)
so basically i would plain not even expect a quality ps2 emulator ever on the xbox as i would be pretty impressed if someone could make one with good frame rate.
I second that.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it cannot be done. Just buy one: they're just as much or even cheaper then the XBox. That's my advice.
My whole room is wireless, all I need is a urinal in my closet and I'm good to go.im no n00b im just plain old lazy

Not to sound mean, but if you would have simply typed PS2 Emulator into the search feature, you would have found these:

This is addressed, it seems, once a month. So, here is the summary of all the answers you will get:
1) It is impossible.
2) The hardware between the two are just so different.
3) The PS2 uses a low clock speed, yet very effiencent powerful processor and offloads much of it's computing to specialized chips. The XBox uses dumb, old technology in comparison. Sorry to burst all your bubbles, XBox fan boys, but Sony was plain more innovative then Microsoft...Come to think of it, most companies are.
4) Even the newest, most powerful hardware out there cannot emulate the PS2. I once saw a screen shot of a PS2 emulator running on the newest and latest fire-breathing machine, but even the CPU was pegged at 98% and the emulator was only running at 2 frames per second. I believe you'll find the picture in one of those links.
5) If the newest machines can't do it, the XBox doesn't stand a chance. Sorry.

yup i completely agree with that.the xbox is more powerfull then the ps2 is... thats obvious... sure u might have a point about it's efficientcy being better than the xbox... but when is all said and done the xbox clearly is more power overall... and it shows in games... i.e. visuals and frame rate in general.
You said it. I still would like to see a general emulation faq sticky or at least a 7 day waiting period before noobs can post in the hopes that they might look through the forums for what they want to know.TokenUser said:Oops ... another kitten down.
