there is no umd loader. no one has it unlike the many warez groups they claim to have it

why is it these days if someone has something working they have to piss around with smokescreens and kiddie news posts ?

dynarox isnt even a ****ing group - they used pdx's internal umd dumper and simply dumped iso's - woope****ingdoo - hard core skills

guys dont be fooled by these retarded posts

only news to believed is anyone from psp-dev or pdx imho as they are only 2 groups who actually done anything that we ourselves have seen of use.

dont believe ANYTHING until someone shows you something working in your hands - even from Xecuter

dont believe videos pictures anything - simply cus most of you are gullible enough to believe and then it bogs own the forums and email boxes and chat channels with retards.

Exactly my attitude. I don't even pay attention to news posts like that. The only places I've ever checked for real PSP hacking news is here and PSP-Dev.

Yeah, that's how I usually take it. Stuff just tends to spread by word of mouth, but until I actually see it working by a trusted site, it's usually just some fake sh*t.

Odd though, I heard that PS2NFO were the most reliable source for valid information on the PSP hacking scene.

PS2nfo is a great source for rumor... if you're into that sorta thing... it's fun sometimes since when it is true info they always post first... but personally i can deal with a 20min delay at psphacker/pspupdates to get verified news than sift thru crap. thanks.

Well here is what ps2nfo released today...

AloneTrio of the group WAB (who coded the World's first PSP Trainer) has now released the WAB MS Launcher Alpha! Basically this utility can be installed using KXploit v1.50 and then used to launch extracted UMD iSO dumps from your PSP Memory Stick root, but as it's an Alpha version NO games have been confirmed as playable. There has NOT been a lot of testing done yet, however, most games will either begin to load the title/intro screen only (ie WipeOut Pure), will hang on "Now Loading" (ie Ridge Racers), or will hang at the "Please Wait" screen (ie Puzzle Bobble). Once again, at this time NO game actually plays via this Alpha version to our knowledge, but this is simply further progress towards that goal. The 'hanging' is likely due to UMD check routines being present, but only time will tell for sure!

In related news, we also received confirmation today from a popular Chip developer that a PSP Mod is expected to arrive in the near future. On the plus side it will allow you to fully run the iSO images from your Memory Stick, but on the minus side it will likely involve both forking over a bit of ca$h and opening up your precious $250 PSP console. More news on this as it becomes available of course!
