First here's a little easter egg we found in Sony's PSP Encryption (All goodness comes to those that wait.....)

Code:
.adata:0043DD96 loc_43DD96: ; CODE XREF:
.adata:0043DD8Aj
.adata:0043DD96 ; .adata:0043DD90j
.adata:0043DD96 mov dword ptr [ebp+848Ch], 6675636Bh

6675636Bh = "****" hahaha
Is it just me, or do others not understand why 6675636Bh means "****"... I'm not a programmer-- so maybe that's why. But did anyone else besides Xecuter understand this?

6675636Bh is just a series of hex codes:

66 75 63 6B

translate from hex to ascii (http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm)

66 = f
75 = u
etc.

But I have no idea how it relates to encryption :(
im pretty sure it doesn't at all, some sony programmer(s) probably put that in there just to see if anyone could find it, which would explain why xecuter was referring to an "easter egg"

I know this is a little off topic for this post but I couldn't find a better place to ask. I saw on psp-hacks.com that Team Xecuter released a video of wipoout playing off the memory stick. Anyone heard about this any mods or admins want to comment? Just need some rumor control.

you know what I just thought about is that they are just using the memory stick as a boot loader for the UMD. Which still have VERY big application for the 1.5 becuase that still means they are running homebrew on the 1.5. So this could still be big.

I don't think there are memory sticks with enough capacity to store a game on them to play off of. The rumors that I have been hearing are that the 2+GB memory sticks are somewhere on the horizon... and pretty expensive, to boot.

Puzzle Bobble is 16.9MB which should run from the 32MB stick that's in the Value Pack. I think the point is more to find an elegant hack for this "impossible" feat, that can't be easily defeated by $ony.

But "just" running unsigned code on a machine that's shipped with 1.5x without any soldering would be fantastic and worthy of... more props than anyone can imagine.
