i took all the wires off and still get red light. I have a question regarding the J2D1 solder balls though. On my multimeter i am reading continuity between some of the solder balls but not all of them is that normal or do i have to attempt to un-bridge the conection?

no it just doesn't have any continuity between except for the points you were talking about on the J2D1 they get 0 ohms

based on the voltages i gave you do you have any idea where the short could be because i cant find one anywhere but the solder ball on my CPU_LL_BYPASS broke/fell off could that harm the console i know there is an alternate point but could that be the problem?

I would advise you use this board for practice now. Not only do I think you won't find the fault but you won't have the ability to fix it.

If you get another console, I'd get someone to RGH it and practice on this in the meantime.
