Probably not since the ecc it makes has nothing of the dash in it afaik, its a patched smc, the bootloader and xell and the smc has always been the same.

Well i at least verified my coolrunner rev A i had been trying to use works, i just glitched a trinity with it and it boots first glitch every time on the trinity.

found this earlier, not sure it will help but thats how i had my wires routed on mine. its just avoiding coils as much as possible and allowing the wires as much room between each other as possible too. each wire is through its own hole around the south bridge and they are all standard coolrunner wires. i also had the 68 nf cap in place and used a rev A coolrunner.

i missed your earlier question but to answer it now, it took around ten minutes roughly to glitch into xell on the above setup i didn't actually notice at first as i'd got into a book when it was trying lol and of course xell doesnt play the startup sound so i totally missed it. multiple test produced wildly varied results but all within 10 minutes one instant, pretty much the same as the zephyrs i tried which didn't surprise me seeing as they share the same sh*tty cpu, it just doesnt like to glitch simple as. i had at first had the other 220 and 270pf caps added too on other attempts but imo those actually stopped mine from booting even when left on 24hrs for each, took them off and booted first attempt just slowly. i was well happy though and it served its purpose very well indeed.

so you use the 68nf cap instead of the 47nf, and no other caps at all ?

I have a 47nf and 220pf and it was flashing every 5 sec but now it won't cycle at all, just sits there with the power light on - debug won't flash at all.

yep just 68 and nothing else, never even got round to trying the 47. another thing i noticed is i was offered by jrunner when building the ecc to use the alternative 4xxx bootloader over the 1xxx and it would only try to glitch with the alternative but never with the normal one.
I'll have to give that a shot tonight... I wired mine up all special and all (will take a pic, quite proud of my CR setup) with an SMD 47nf cap and the 220pf bent so it wasn't shorting on anything. lol.

I used the alt bootloader too, but may have to build the EC with the original.

What strikes me as odd is the fact that the dang thing WAS cycling (debug light flashing) but now it won't...

i have had mine stop cycling. switch the switch to slim, turn it on, then shut it off and switch it back. seems to bring to back again.

tried it, tried the 68nf cap only, 47nf cap only, with 220pf cap (only one I have) - nothing. CR dbg will not cycle. going to write the original dump back and see if it boots. if so I'll try another CR.

Mine xenon booted xell on a 47 nf cap and the 220pf main thing I looked out for was that blue led every 5 sec and a short as poss flash as some of the other setups tried the blue led would stay on longer and I left them run for a hour no joy it seem the shorter time the led is on the better the last setup I used booted in under 10 min

I have not had a single bad CR yet, and ive done quite a few installs. I suspected maybe my cool runner was bad as well, but it wasnt I just threw it in a trinity today and im gettting 5-15 second boots like clock work on it.

Its the xenons, they are hell. Ubergeek said they sucked the wang of death to glitch and its the truth lol

It looks like we need to get the most perfect wiring we can to get these things to respond to the glitching at all.
