Put my meter on a mosfet. wont boot

Hey guys
I put my multimeter ground on the metal frame and red on the long part of a mosfet.. I saw a spark... it wont boot now... should I remove the mosfet and put another down?

wow hot air works perfectly to remove and replace mosfets instead of soldering.... I put about 7 or 8 dofferent ones down...still just single solid led..

I said forget it. put box to the side.

let failure overcome me

put together another box.- plugged it in to test.... SAME THING!

but hey now I know how to test and replace mosfets!!! BAHA sorry for wasting yet another post.
