or even a X2.6 external switch. It doesnt matter to me. I want my xbox to look stock on the outside so I dont want that big X3 switch lighting up all the time. I know you can run the modchip without it but Im going to be playing xbox live with my modded box and I want to be able to see that its OFF.
no, it would have no function - also, it wouldn't fit. Also, why do you need to see that it's off? if its off, its off! just changed the flubber/xbox logo colors and you'll be able to tell that it is off!
Mount the x3 switch on the rear of the box. Just widen the hole for the network adapter a little and thread the wires out there. Might need to remove the mobo to do this, but you'd still *have* an external switch, but it wouldn't be visible from the front.
