yes it may not last long but i dont really play the xbox that often anyway, managed to dump and reflash ok, now running on FSD 2.2, thanks for the help and advice, i know its not ideal but as long as it lasts long enough for me to get the new final fantasy 13-2 and finish it thats all i care about :)

Honestly you've got the hard work done to get it back to life. Just chuck in the resistors and you're back to a console working as it should. It might look botched together but who gives a rat's arse once it's closed.

Don't risk a decent console for the sake of 5 minutes and a cheap as chips (cheaper than one chip probably) resistor.

Then you'll be good for the next final fantasy release as well.

the 33 ohm resistor is only buying you time. you will notice that your system at time would start funny. and when you look at your power supply it will turn red when it does act up. but like you said if you dont play xbox often then it would be a good go.

i already had the resistors i needed just struggled to find a suitable way of putting them in that didnt take up much room as the fan shroud would be sitting on top of my bodge to the QSB.

after much swearing they eventually went in and its still booting (always a plus)
forgot to take pics before i put it back together

only problem left is it seems to randomly freeze after a couple of minutes on a cold start, after the console has warmed up it performs perfectly had a 4hr stint last night and was spot on, thanks for help guys

hi

not sure if this is the right place but it's soldering mess up related
i had the same problem with my first glitch attempt but no so bad. i just lost the solder point on the hana chip. i then re-soldered the orange wire to the alternate stby_clk point. I had also after that flashed the ecc file and needed to get my cpu key, but the console won't power up. do i need to restore the hana chip connection inorder to get my 360 to is power up.

thanx for ur help

Dude, you shouldn't be High Jacking this thread, you should have started your own or searched as this question has been answered a hundred times.

If you have damaged the stby_clk you need to repair it completely, including the resistor, then you can use the alt point.
