When using the ntfs4dos cd, what is the command to choose the drive? I typed 'cd d' and a couple of other 'cd (drive letter)' without the quotes. I did create a primary partition about 8 gb in size. Is the change directory command not the right one?

My other question is do I need to use the xtreme 51 keyzone patch if I am going to be using xtreme 5.2 firmware?

Thanks

P.S. Does Firmware Key Check v0.420 still work with the xtreme 5.2 firmware.

I havent used either of the v5.1 or 5.2 packages but i assume you flash with the two bacth files included in the package. Read the readme.txt included with it and make sure you have downloaded it from a reputable source (xbins).

Key check will work with all samsung firmwares, assuming they dont change the key structure for some reason.

Thanks Casor420. I think I just about have everything figured out to flash my 360. I wont use the x51 keyzone patch. I am using xtreme 5.2.
In extreme boot maker which firmware do I choose for my ms28.
There isn't a choice for ms28. Is xtrem52x it?
Please answer so I can flash my drive. Thanks

You should pick xtrem52x.bin.

The 'x' being a , b, c, or d.

Xtreme Boot Maker may complain about unrecognized firmware and ask for a definition update. If you got your firmware from Xbins then you can just ignore it. It's just an md5 verifier to say that the loaded firmware is legit.

Remember to make a custom mtkflash, pick your sata card, detect id, and check both of the ms28 boxes in the middle.

Also .. for NTFS4DOS (or any DOS) , in order to mount a partition you just type the drive letter followed by a colon.

Example, say NTFS4DOS boots to an A.

A:/ D:

D:/ cd xbf

I flashed a ms25 with xtreme 52B to see how it goes compared to 52A, it was heaps noisier, not because of the speed (which is 4x with 52A) but because you can hear it accessing the disc so much more, there's alot of clickityclick - click click going on, so now I want to flash it with 52A, should I just use the ms28 bad flash recovery method (because of firmguard) and redo it using 52A or will this screw up the firmware?

If you kow how to do the bad flash method, then yes this is (in my experience) the easiest way to do it. It will not screw up the firmware.

Yip all worked well.

I actually found in the hacking textbook that it said to use the ms-28 bad flash method when re-flashing any drive that has xtreme 4.x installed. I just thought that it could be dangerous because it's not grabbing the ORIGINAL firmware to mod, it's modding an already modded firmware. But it is safe and I can verify that.

I reflashed it because 5.2B was even nosier than 5.2A, not due to the drive speed but due to the clickity click clicks which are much louder at 4x speed as apposed to 12x speed.
