The new 2.6's from System-Mods have cromwell 3.0.3 on bank 2, but I thought that I had to have the evox dash on bank 2. So after installing the chip can I boot from bank 2 right away, and then put in a 1 meg bios (1st 512k Cromwell 3.0.3 and 2nd 512k Evox M8_16+)? Will that work out or do I need to go about doing it another way? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you made your bios disc that way (3.03 and M8+16) it will be all ok.
Thats assuming that your box is a 1.6b.

hi I'm not an expert here I,ve modded about 8 1.6 boxes just recently and all I do is flash the chip using slayers auto disk(make sure you pick the right one!) this has worked EVERY time for me. It does flash both banks tho (1mb)

so then what you're saying is that I should load the cromwell bios on bank 2 and then upload the slayers 2.6 autoinstaller and then flash the full 1 mb evox bios?

The bios on the slayers 2.6 disc did not work correctly for me on a 1.6b, but worked on a 1.6.

You need to check your memory chips, hynix = 1.6b samasung = 1.6

X2.6 switch is for booting a bios not selecting where you flash to. X2.6 always starts to flash from 0x000000 (the beginning of bank1)

you should just flash evox m8plus 1mb version on there - no point in flashing 512k as it only works from bank2 anyway.

once youve flashed it you wont need flashbios any more

you have to find the updated iprep definitions, otherwise it won't load

Jungleflasher is the best way to go if you can ;)

Re: BenQ iXtreme LT1.1 - wont load in iPrep

get the key off the drive, make a backup and then have a go using jungleflasher, all the other methods r pretty outdated, and using jungleflasher u cant do much damaged to the xbox, u can brick the drive, very unlikely but then if u got the key who cares just buy a new drive, i no it cost money but once u use jungleflasher a few times ull think why u ever used the other ones :)
good luck mate

Re: BenQ iXtreme LT1.1 - wont load in iPrep

Okay here is how it went, so i flashed my xbox using jungle flasher. all went well as i was following the new tutorial displayed on the home page. went to turn on my xbox and it said there was a new system update available, so i flashed back to the OFW with no problems, without use of the guide, installed the update then reinstalled the iXtreme LT 1.1 firmware over the top.

thanks for all the help guys, was much appreciated. Now i can flash the drives in the windows GUI rather than in DOS.

Just need to get some disks now, unfortunatley im skint :\

gutted.
Cheers
