I have an old Falcon 360 which I just repaired from 3RROD. It has dash 8955 on it. I know it never used to be possible but can it be JTAGed at this point, or is RGH my only option?

Dont update to the latest Dash. you need your Nand and CPU key first. If you are going to update to latest and RGH later go to 14717/14719. Get your Nand and cpu key. then you can go to the latest and RGH later.

Grab the Nand and CPU key before you do anything.

RGH1 the console then you can update from there. RGH and Jtag are basically 2 different methods to get to the same result - running unsigned code (homebrew)

And yes, all you need is a Nand X and a coolrunner.
If you want to use the QSB's then I would pick this one up

The one in the kit doesn't have point for the orange (STBY_CLK) wire and it can be a bitch to wire if you're not great at soldering.

If I was to buy what you linked to would I still need to buy both the items I posted?

Yes...you need a nandx for reading and writing the nand and the coolrunner to rgh the console.

The nandx will always come in handy down the road for updating your nand if needed or if you f up an update. :)
