Now I have a zepher version with a dash version that jrunner says I can use rgh. Can I use this product with original rgh wire method or should I just wire it rgh2 or update dash so I can use rjtag. I'm very confused as I have only hooked up on coolrunner ver b before and a few original jtags. Thanks

Zephyr are pretty crap for RGH or RJTAG, it is possible but youd be better off dumping it and getting hold of a Jasper.
i have heard RGH2 with CR4 gets good results, R-JTAG i personally have great results with the jasper.

you heard wrong,rgh isnt supported with cr4 on zephyr,only rjtag is,however,there is another chip out there that can do rgh2 pretty good on zephyr,ofc im not allowed to say what that chip is here because its not an xecuter product. google it thoughi have heard RGH2 with CR4 gets good results, R-JTAG i personally have great results with the jasper.

look at the title of the official threads for install on cr4,you dont see zephyr at all for rgh2 using cr4.although im curious,since it works on falcon,and you end up using falcon files for most zephyrs anyway.......i just havent had a zephyr to test in a while. if one of you happen to have a zephyr and a cr4,try writing the falcon ecc,and choose falcon when building ur xebuild img,would prove it either way. very curious myself.

i quit taking in zephyrs so long ago it aint funny. if anyone can test the falcon cr4 files out on one that would be great.
That's where I was confused. I read a thread on another site (you know which one) where someone RGH2ed a Zephyer and it worked well with a Falcon Xebuild image. It's just isn't supported with the CR4 here officially. I can except that I guess.

well,to be fair here,this method has been used since the very first original jtag hack.alot of zephyrs had issues with random e79 (even when using aud cmp,which is what aud cmp fixed on hdmi boards) unless ya used the falcon files. myself i have used that on 80% of my original jtag hacked zephyrs. so its really not a new thing here. i know you can make it work with another chip (you know which one....de ja vu here?
) but not sure bout cr4.

I agree with most people. Dump the Zephyr and get a falcon or jasper or slim. Why waste time installing RGH on a system that is more likely to get RROD. You can find a good deal on an open tray error phat jasper or falcon on ebay for $30-50
