Question about PCI RAID SATA card

Hi everyone. I have been trying to get my Xbox flashed
but my SATA card is not working properly. I have
a VIA VT 6421L PCI SATA Card (RAID) which can be
seen here.
At first when I installed it I had some trouble, Widows said
the drivers were not properly installed so I uninstalled them
and reinstalled them (from the driver disc) and Windows said
it STILL was not installed properly so I went to newegg and
went to the manufacturer's site and downloaded the latest drivers. After searching through the drivers I found the Windows XP drivers and installed them with device manager.
I then rebooted the computer and it worked. YAHHH!! So now I tried to flash the drive and the card still won't show up on the list of cards.
I basically need to know if I have to configure the card to
run in non RAID in the computer's bios because I don't
think that Disc drives are RAID capable (after all they aren't
hard drives).
I also noticed that when the card was "not working" that under Xtreme bootmaker it said the card's
name was "RAID controller" but after I got Windows to say
the card was working correctly XBM called it "VIA 6421 RAID
controller" or something like that.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please post them.

uninstall the drivers then get the latest drivers from the VIA website.....

on install you will get to a point where it gives two things to install (box's with ticks)

untick the RAID tool and only install the drivers

then it should work

That sounds like what the problem is. I will try it when
I can use the computer later.
Hopefully that will work.
And thank you for your suggestion :)
