question about probing MPX01 point and powering off drive

To resend the command you should click Yes. Power off the drive..... then probe mpx01.... then power back on....

on the tutorial it says to just hold the ck3 probe button down(led off) then release it(led on)................i dont have that button on the probe i have, so do i just click the power button on my power dongle at this point and turn it back on while probing my point?

this is right before the power off drive for 5 seconds part


sorry if im asking an obvious question, but i just want to make sure

U need a switch or button on the probe to do it. What probe are u using.

@geek , thanks for your response. i wanted a ck3 probe but they were out of stock of all tx probe products, so i got a maximus scorpion 2 probe instead. im gonna go look for one on the internet or craigslist hopefully i find one.

Never used a maximus probe. So cant comment. Also its not a tx product so dont think u will get support here.

You could also just unplug the probe, stick the probe to the mpx01 point then plug the probe back in.

The button just cuts power from the probe without having to unplug it and plug it back in.
You would have to be quick about it. Or just take a trip to radio shack and get a press and release button. Then cut your wire and splice it in.

This is incorrect. It is necessary to only power cycle the 3.3v for phatkey.
