Hey guys !

Yesterday I've ordered my TX Glitch equipment and have already been reading through the tutorials, the CR installation diagrams, more than once ...
But, probably because my english isn't good enough, i've got 2 things i still don't fully understand ...
I hope somebody can clear things up for me, so that i'm completely clear how to do it as correct as possible when my tools arrive :D

Hardware:
Nand-X v3
Coolrunner rev.B
Nand-X to CR JTAG Cable
Nand-X/CR - QSB's

1.)
In the Tutorials it says, it's recommended to flash CR before wiring
Will i have to solder at least 3v3 for power or will CR get power from Nand-X / CR Jtag Cable?

2.) (depending on 1.)
However i flash the CR (3v3 or Power from Nand-X?) i have to switch to PRG before, right?
As soon as programming is complete, i'll have to switch to NOR again, to be sure it works fine as soon as it's wired to the powered console ...

Please don't flame, if the questions are basically already answered in the tutorials (which i assume, but probably don't fully understand) ...

i just want to be 100% sure to do the right things the right way :)

Thank you in advance

ah, ok thank you guys ...

So if i flash CR before soldering/wiring, the switch can stay at NOR, 'alright
But will i have to solder at least 3v3 for programming or will CR get power from Nand-X by JTAG Cable?
I'll need power for programming, i assume ...

thx :)

Why dont you just program it before putting it in
That's my plan, because it's recommended according to the tutorials
I'd just like to know, where the CR gets his power from, if i want to program it before soldering ...
Does it get power from Nand-X using CR Jtag Cable or does CR only get power from 3v3 on motherboard

edit: aaaah, alright, thank you rdubbs and bl4k3y, this was the last thing i wasn't sure about

Thank you all guys, now i'm clear about everything and good to go :D
