QUESTION ABOUT X3 PRO SWITCH

Hi guys,

i have just order the X3 PRO Switch in black and have a simple question. I have read that this has an Infared Mod built in on a couple of website.
Has anyone got theirs yet and if so could you confirm this and if so does it allow you to turn on and off the XBOX with them remote?

2010 Xbox Live Ban Wave

Okay fellow modders, its in the middle of November, 2010, when is the ban hammer gonna take effect??? I heard n idk if this is true though, that even LT users might be screwed, I'm the most vulnerable here lol i got the 1.51, and Godspeed I'm still playing online with the new update and everything. If i get banned which I'm pretty sure might happen, its really no big deal, because well i'm gonna do what i did last year and just buy a bare console off of eBay which is only like $60 and mod it. But anyways back to the point, when is the ban wave gonna occur? and is everybody screwed? because i remember last year's ban wave was in early November when MW2 came out and now its like a few days over Mid November and still no M$ attacks.. btw lol i heard Microsoft was pissed hahaha

^^^ I can't believe you're running 1.51 and having been banned already. Let alone, running 1.51 and the new dash and still aren't banned!

im running 1.61 on liteon and go online everyday for sky player and haven't been banned either.

The ban hammer will come down in the xmas period, they want us all to run out an buy a kinect so their profit margin looks acceptable before they flick the ban switch.

Perhaps with recent court developements maybe m$ ban hammer wont reach so far this year. According to most theories and recent chat logs from the scene, the new mods should be available pre x-mas. Unlike last year we were all zapped immediately, why not this year, has m$ attitude been adjusted? As for sales the kinect has sold 1 million units already and project 5 million at years end, I believe they will make their money either way of modding. I also believe they will wait to pull a move, but I'm sure they will pull some sort of move just to still feel in control. Just a thought.

yeah that seems understandable, guess we'll just have to standby and see what happens, in the mean time we'll enjoy our modded Xboxs :)

ok here is my theory , and its gonna be different then yours lol. but braveheart loves my answers lol.

OK see Microsoft has people who do nothing but watch the pirate hacking modding pages. I can bet you microsoft knows more about whats going on then any of us do.
so I think they learned from last year they went and banned 1 million or so units and then all every one did was go out buy another and then re mod with new firmware.

This year why ban early? look at all the trouble they are causeing with out a ban. they kicked our ant hill and are just watching us run around like crazy going i cant play my ap25 games ,oh i have been flagged, i cant boot... blah blah blah.

what they have done is worse then a ban so .. now they just wait till the new firmware is release around xmas they get a copy of it them selves (and you know they will) throw a handful of programmers on it and in 2 or 3 days then ban after the new firmware release. that would cause way more damage then banning before the new firmware. cause if they did that then all the work that got put into the new firm ware would have been for nothing. plus look at all the trouble it would cause.

Just think about it, now you have consoles who cant play games ,cant update ,just chaos . then new firmware comes out every one jumps on it rips open their boxes flashes away or pays people to do it 60 bucks then 3 days later bam!!!!! microsoft bans after the fact instead of before. how pissed would everyone be. money gone systems banned and a brand new firmware thats useless. will be back to the drawing board and having to wait for Lt +++ .

I mean if i was in charge of microsoft live thats how i would do. and you know they can. heck if it only ever takes sony about a week to shoot down every new hack you know microsoft can dang well do it too.

Well then i guess when the updates come out dont apply them and see what happens. Then you can blab about how you got zapped and its not fair or realize that this cat and mouse game of hacking and counter hacking will never end. Awfully pesimistic for someone who hasnt developed anything yet has an opinion of everything, thank goodness the people on the scene dont have that attitude. You're correct though m$ knows everything and were all doomed to never play back ups again and most people love wasting their lives developing FREEWARE, that meens no $, that will last a week and be countered. Some lines of thinking are just obsurd. Conspiracy's are abound, hey HLQN you know where bin laden is too right? M$ pays people to read the internet, are you serious, how ridiculous does that sound. ??? I am stumpped.

Your logic is beyond me. If, as you say, M$ are trying to cause maximum damage and mayhem then they would ban now forcing everyone to go and buy a new console before Christmas. You then wait for everyone to get comfortable and all the new consoles to be flashed with LT+ and then. Bam! You ban again. Double strike your out.

Where still happily playing backups apart from a handfull of titles. I wouldn't exaxtly call it mass confusion.

I think you have your logic all wrong. There is only so much information the can glean from a console via a copper wire. I think the iXtreme team have done a pretty decent job with LT and M$ are having a harder time detecting it than you think.

jasonmx81 I dont even think you read my post because all you did was throw insults. the op was asking opinions on the potential ban and that was what i was giving.

mantis my logic as you call it does make sense have you even read posts on here before you reply? people everywhere are having tons of issues with ap25 and cant play newer games. so if microsoft lets the issues ride for the mext month of so until after xmas then yes they make more sales sales of new titles and kinect because ap25 dosent keep you from playing retail or kinect and their xmas numbers look awsome. if they banned right now then new title sales and kinect sales would suffer so it makes perfect sense to wait untill after xmas and the new modded firmware. then blamo lol you got all those new shiny titles and kinect you cant play and wil most likly go get a new box. if they banned before xmas and right when kinect was released then alot(not all) of people just would not have got another one or a kinect. and if microsot has such a hard time detecting hacked firmware then tell me freind why are all consoles with newdash that try to play ap25 games getting flagged with a ap25 fail flag? there gonna do something with that info you can bet on it. and just so you know the newfirmware wont remove that flag because its not on the dvd drive.

But anyway my post was in fun with the topic and you two took it to a new level with insults. anyone who knows my posts on here knows i like to just give different outlooks to get people thinking its about gaming remember .you know fun lighten up.

Ive seen a lot of your epic paragraph posts, perhaps you should reread your post with new glasses and you would see how some of your ridiculous assumptions sound. I've been on the scene from the beginning and last time I checked for at least 80% of the year we get left alone. However always in nov through jan theres a pause, coincidence no, or are we to believe M$ spends all year developing a curve ball and then gives up the rest of the year? HLQ just think a little before you spout off, and I didnt insult you, I just am amazed at your logic and opinions especially on a site where noobs run rampant with rumors and posts. ANYWAYZ.

jasonmx81, again very insulting but if you had been on the sence so long then maybe you need a business corse or two. it is well know that 80% or more of game profits ,heck and compaines profits are made i the last quarter. and that is why they go so hard after people in the last quarter not because hackers are smarter then microsoft. anyway im not going to reply to you anymore and take up someone elses thread my reply was in line with the topic yours was not. and not everyone is a noob as you so call them. out

Khara, to get back on topic, in my opinion we should be fine. We have had advanced warning this year to stay offline, we have a list of AP25 games, and if you check other sites there is huge amount of chat log from c4eva. Which I think is a credit to him and team jungle for being johnny on the spot this year with warnings and updates. Also, compared to last year thier logs are quite refreshing and reassuring the sun wil come out tomorrow. Usually we are left in dark untill the updates are released. SO, heres where we're at stay online, stay offline your choice. On or off avoid ap25 backups. If online 50 50 chance your call just use xval to check flag status. Avoid at all costs new dash and ap25 on or offline. Pretty simple I think. Also last chat update from the scene is Fat LT+ is in heavy testing and currrently running AP25. Really a small amount of reading and searching and you cAN STAY updated on the whole process.
