Question about X3CE default bioses

Just ordered my X3CE and have a question about how the chip comes and how I should handle the Backup 256k.

I have an XBox 1.6B

Questions:
1. Is it true that only FlashBios 3.0.3 work with my xbox and 3.0.1 will not?
2. From the factory is the following true? If not how it it configured
- Banks 1-4 have FlashBios 3.0.1
- Banks 5-8 have FlashBios 3.0.3
- Backup has 3.0.1
3. After I get the X3 bios on the chip (1-4) do I ultimately want to upgrade the backup bios 256k to 3.0.3 since I have a 1.6b?

Im confused if indeed #2 is correct above it doesnt look like I can boot flashbios off the chip by default because I have a 1.6b and 1-4 has 3.0.1.

Maybe I just need some clarification on what Flashbios(s) are on the chip when I get it and where the flashbios(s) are stored and what works and doesnt work with a 1.6b

DJBOOBY seems to clarify in another thread

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]ok if you have a v1.6b the backup will not work has flashbios 3.0.1 that will not work on v1.6b xbox you should set switch to off on off off off if you have v1.6b xbox
if its still faging recheck your install
there are three lots of flashbios on chip
flashbios 3.0.1 on backup bank (works on v1.0 to v1.6 xboxs)
flashbios 3.0.1 on switch setting on on off off off
flashbios 3.0.3 on switch setting off on off off off (works on v1.0 to v1.5 and v1.6b)

So it looks like with a 1.6b that I need to boot off of 5-8 to flashbios 3.0.3, after booting change switched to 1-4 then flash the Xecutor 1.6 bios for 3CE, after I do that boot to X3Live and flash the backup with 3.0.3.

Does that sound like the right way to do things?

It is good that you have done all your reading. Well done there.
It is generally true for all points 1-3.

The procedure for flashing a 1.6b is to always have FlashBIOS working while you flash the bios. Thats just just common sense incase things go wrong...
Flash X3 bios to banks 1-4 and upgrade your backup bios with FB 3.0.3.
Also check that it works too. A backup is useless if it is not working, should take advantage of this feature.

I have version 1.6b. I flashed the 3.03 bios on accident with a 1.6bios. I can only get to the flashbios 3.01 banks now...Is there anyway to get those to 3.03 so I can flash the correct 1.6b bios??

if your getting flashbios 3.0.1 use that if your saying that you flash over banks 5 to 8 and no longer can get flashbios you will have to do a hotswap or send chip back to get reflashed with flashbios

I have version 1.6b. I flashed the 3.03 bios on accident with a 1.6bios. I can only get to the flashbios 3.01 banks now...Is there anyway to get those to 3.03 so I can flash the correct 1.6b bios??
