Question about XBOX Live! Content.

I was thinking of getting a 2nd XBOX just so I can play on Live and not worry about the whole will I get banned crap. What I was curious about is if I download game content (Map, Charaters, Vechiles, etc.) with the one XBOX, can I use that extra game content in offline mode, that with system-link/split screen, maybe they offer new single player data too. If so that would be great, I could then transfer the data from my one XBOX to my other XBOX and use the data. I have a TV in my living room and Bedroom. System Link Fun!

the way i know it some of the content can just be copied over, like the stuff they put on the demo DVD's. Other content has to be installed over live, the only way i can think to get around it is to ftp the game content that is saved on your e: partition over to the hacked box(kinda useless if you want the second box vigin though)

P.S. maybe try software hacks that you boot from just for the ftp support but don't overwrite any files on the virgin box?

Yea i would get another xbox for live so u dont have to worry about it.. but im going to try to back up my EEProm and Get a account recovery when i install my new hard drive so they cant ban me.. its worth a try.. heh i think..

But cant u download content if the chip is disabled and u go on live? i think it wouldnt bother anything .. would it?

you missed the point of her post didn't you?

she was getting a second xbox to not have to worry about having the chip disabled or any of the marriage theory stuff. She wanted to know how to transfer downloadable content from one xbox to another.

I was gonna get a chip for the 2nd box, but I wasn't gonna add a new HD or put other content on the HD like Dashboars, Apps, Etc. The chip would just be used to bood EvoX from a DVD so I could then FTP to the XBOX and get it's downloaded Game Content. But the main question I wanted to know was. The exta Game Content that you downloaded... does it only work when on Live! or can I use extra game content in Single Player, Split-Screen, and System Link Modes?

maps, prob yes, I think it depends on the game but if the downloadable content if for a feature used in system link play and Live! play i would have to say you can use it offline.

Thanks.. I guess the only way to find out would be to download and try. I was hopping someone who uses XBOX Live! would have an idea if this worked or not. I hope it does. I'd love to play system-link games with the extra game data. When I get my 2nd XBOX I'll post in here about my findings... I will be at least a month before I get my 2nd XBOX.

If your getting a second xbox to play on live then don't mess around with it!
It depends on the game your playing. Some verify downloaded content some don't.

I think he wants to know if downloadable content can be used in system link, I really don't know why he's bringing up a second xbox... Downloadable content can be used in sytem link if both xboxes have it, you can't play on a new map if the other xbox doesn't have the data for it. As for single player, i haven't reallty seen them add to campaign modes of games often, however they do, so I would have to say yes to that too.

I think you all missed the point of my thread. I was planning to get a 2nd XBOX so I can go on XBOX Live! and not worry about getting banned with my modded XBOX. What I wanted to know is if I downloaded game content from XBOX Live! can it be played over system link. Because if so, I would transfer that extra data from my one XBOX to the other, so I can play system link games with my friends when the come over, using the extra data I downloaded. But as no one seems to know, I will have to just try and see.

I have tried, and I have a question of my own. I own two xboxes. I went XBOX Live! and downloaded maps for Ghost Recon 2. Then I transfered those maps, from the E drive, to the xbox without XBOX Live! But, when I tried to use the maps on the xbox without xbox Live!, it said the the download was corrupt. Does anyone know how to get non-xbox live xbox to recognize the maps?
