Ok . I`ve got my resistors .

I now need to get this into vendor mode , I`ve had a look around and by the looks of it i need to probe mpx01 to get it in to vendor mode before i cut traces etc .

So , I dont have a probe but i know i can just use a piece of wire and a needle etc .

Can some one confirm the pinouts for me plz

pin 6 (power plug on drive ) .. cut and add switch
pin 5 ("" "" " " ) ..bare wire and add probe wire .

Is that gonna work for me .

Cheers guys and sorry for the stupid questions i`ve tried to find it but can only find a video in greek ..lol

Cheers

i`m trying to unlock a mxic , i`ve looked at the tut in here and it says to get the drive in vendor mode i need to prove the mpx01 .

1. Connect theDVD to a SATA port on the PC X360USB does not work
2. Turn on the DVD (I did with CK3Pro ) this must already have the cut trace
3. Open JungleFlasher v0.1.85Beta (257)
4. MTK Tab Flash32
5. Press Enter / Device ID, you get a message stating that you disconnect the DVD for 1 second, press YES
6. Power Off the DVD
7. Place PROBE III (can be a homemade) at the point that even MPX01
8. Turn on the DVD (should recognize the way "vendor"), but if it doesnt gives you "vendor" power cycle again the DVD. Do not forget to have PROBE III on MPX01.
9. You can take the Probe 3 out of the MPX01 point
10. Ready! follow the instructions of the Sputnik program

It`s a swap out board so i dont have a dummy.bin . The console is rgh so i got the key and what have you . When i try using the x360usbpro it`s not working for some reason , not even finding the drive , or showing up as a port. Any ideas why that would be ? worked ok for other drives .

rob753420 - see if you keep posting irrelevant info, I'll just bin your account.

OP - all phat and slim PCBs with firmware on them should be able to be detected in JF. If this isn't happening, fix this first. Failing that, Vendor intro mode on an empty PCB should get it picked up.

That is exactly what my next suggestion was, that the chip is erased and you need to select "SLIM" in MTK32 and hit intro, ensuring that port 0x0000 is the current port. It should display flash chip properties and if it does not the PCB is damaged in some way.

If it doesnt unlock (unlikely) you need to use a different value, try 5ohms, then 15ohms, and 20ohms after. It should do it with 10ohms though.

Never had to do ANY of this with an x360USB Pro. Since it's a T-X support site, whatever config you have is deemed irrelevent, hence why I deleted your posts.

Bottom line is as I said: a PCB with firmware present should ALWAYS be detectable, regardless of the SPI lock.

There's more to helping than just answering the question asked.....
