I an trying to figure out how and where to get my xbox modified, my friend came back from Korea and they installed a chip 80 gig hard drive, switch on the side that allows it to operate in either modified or normal mode and all the software necessary for modification use. Please let me know. Thanks!

I say: Open up Yahoo or Google and search for "xbox mods" im sure you will find a few placet that will mod your box for you.

OR you can see if there is any modders in your area by going here: http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12

OR you can request to find someone in your area by going here: http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=28

And AEgawd was right... So you will need to read up on some of the tutorials on flashing the bios, adding a dashboard... etc

Honestly, if you read through all the stickies and tutorials, you can do the install yourself, I never modded a console in my life until the other day and mine is working fine.

Goodluck...

If you buy one modded your going to pay alot, you should just buy the stuff to mod and do it yourself. All the info can be found here and xbox-scene.com.

the thing people neglect to say here is:

it is more expensive to pay someone to mod your XB, BUT if you frell it away yourself, then that $150 XB and/or $65 X3 chip just got flushed down the toilet and thats more expensive then paying someone else. other thing is if you pay someone else to do it, if they frell it away, then they have to pay for it.

IMO, someone that has no experience with microelectronics should by no means take on a task such as this without accepting the consequences of a botched mod. do it yourself, you take the risk, you eat the bill. dont come back crying that Xecuter sucks because you f***** up.

There is risk in anything you do, that doesnt mean be afraid and not try new things. How else are you going to learn any thing. I am working on my first mod and there isnt any thing that a person with alittle patience can't do. Just research here and other related sites and you'll be fine, I bet if you mess up your xbox and you have to buy another you won't mess it up again. See lesson learned.

2 things:

1. the word "easy" is a very subjective term and it has become quite apparent that what some of us call easy to mod is in fact very difficult for others, actually the majority, from all the "oh i screwed up," posts.

2. it is also quite apparent that people do not "research here and other related sites," and arent fine because again, they have posted some thread saying theyre XB is broken or they dont understand something.

to me, XB modding isnt like changing the oil in your car. its more like changing the brakes. both examples are actually pretty easy to do, its just the latter is a good bit more mechanically inclined.

it's very simple... some people take the time to read and learn others try right away without first learning how it works and they end up screwing things up. i honestly believe almost 90% of problemes would be solved if people actually read up on what they were doing before they started or posted a bunch of questions. and by searching i don't just mean reading 1 guide or looking for an hour actually taking some real time to learn. xbox modding is like everything else if ur a total noob you should read alot before you try.
