Question?

Alright i damnged my box and got it fixed by a professinal and got it back but when i try to boot it up with the chip disabled it works fine, but when i try to enable the chip it blinks 2 times then goes to the xmas lightes i was wondeing if this is whith a bad flash. I did flash the chip before it went all flipsy and broke on me. I have a 1.6 and installed the correct bios. but now i just get what i have explained above any ideas on how to fix this

well its not fixed can you get flashbios the backup if yes try reflash bios

no i cant get the back up i have tried the on on off off and the off on off off bank, i can only get the retail to boot fine. every thing else boots 3 times and then frags. The guy was busy so i told him to just give me my box back and i would try to get the bios to work right, if not i always have my old box. Any other ideas? Thanks for your help

try 256k banks
"256k Bank

on my panel it has the 4 bank switches and the flash protect switch, so how do i try the thing you gave above, agian thanks for the help

ok from top to bottom set swtichers to as i gave you faceing xbox on is to the right set them then restart xbox if you try all of them you should get flashbios screen the bottom switch should be to the right till you flash the chip

I tried them all, nothing. is there i can ftp or something so i can change it.

I think you have to hotswap the chip

you did try power eject at same time

the backup is a diff bank switch not needed should get flashbios anyway

Well i shouldnt have to do anything but put those switches to what ever and push the power and eject at the same time so i get the purple light, When i do it it comes on the shuts off. How would i hot swap my chip. Thanks for the help

before i go buy a new chip, will this most likely work.

well if dose not work you will know if its the chip check that is working in the working xbox frist if your working xbox is a v1.0 to v1.5 flash chip with x3 3294 bios but if its a v1.6 flash it with x3 3294 v16 plus bios if it works flash the right bios for the xbox that it come out of in the frist place then put it in boot it up if not working in xbox check everything again
if you can not get it working its rs

check that flash safety is off page 8 on guild
