Question

Has anyone flashed a hitachi drive with this motherboard? it has a onboard Sil image 3112 sata controller so it should work but i cant get the drive to mode B. where could i get the latest sil image 3112 drivers or are the drivers on Epox homepage the latest? I have a hitachi 46 http://www.epox.nl/products/view.php?product_id=411

It probably isnt a driver issue if you can't get the drive into modeB using the slax cd. Which slax version are you using? What happens? It just inst detected at all? You can also use the two wire/cross wire method to put it in modeB.

i use slax 2.1
i hook up the drive with the cpu and run the slax cd. slax loads but the drive wont get to mode b. i have read that u have to get the spinning up disk message but i dont get it.
dont know what to do mby there is something wrong in bios? also i have read that there is some deal with ports but where can i change them?
the 2 wire trick seems riski. i wanna try all with the slax and leave the 2 wire trick as my last option.
