Ok, I'll try to post all my questions in my own thread so I don't get yelled at for hijacking someone elses!
I have a xenon xbox, that I need to get the drive keys for. The person who I got it from apparently took it to someone to get the drive changed and they didn't know what they were doing. They just stuck a drive in without doing anything to the keys, the dude didn't give them back the drive so there's no way of getting the keys easily.
Since this is a xenon box, hence not stable for RGH which I really wanted to do with it, I'll just get another box for that. I've ordered the nand-x so far, though I read I need the cool runner too. Now, since I want to do another box without having to buy more stuff, I want to do this with wires on this one an then I can remove them after I get the drive keys.
Questions:
If I used wires, how do the wires hook to the nand-x and or cool-runner?
Can I get the drive key with just the nand-x?
What is CB? and Split CB?
The Pictures on the post about RGH 2.0 show a wire running across the back of the board, yet say nothing about that wire in any of the little cut out sections (A, B, C, D.....) What is that wire for?
Will their be any instructions with the nand-x and cool runner for hooking stuff up? Since I haven't gotten it yet, I can't answer this myself
Or will they give a link to instructions?
Ok really stupid questions here:
Does the cool-runner stay in the system when you're done or do you take it out?
Do the wires have to stay in?
That's all the questions I have right now, I'll post more as I go through more and more of this fun stuff
and to answer ubergeek who replied to me in another thread.
And No, this thing is on a very old dash, I forgot to write down the number before I pulled it apart... Though it's before avatars I've been told. and I believe 1 dash to many for jtag

Because 2.0 has the ability to RGH xenon, I didn't think it was possible before now, even to get the keys. Why are you waiting for RGH2.0 ?
Did you update your dash to 14717/14719 already ?
