I know this sounds stupid, but after flashing the chip, when you start the XBOX and see the Xecutor2 logo, it goes to the regular XBOX MS dashboard. How do you enable FTP so you can upload things like EvolutionX or XBMC without having to create a disk? Or is that the only way? Thanks.

Uhh... X2? Dunno anything about it, you're posting in the X3 forums though, so on an X3, you just open X3CL by pressing white when you start it up and you can run an FTP from X3CL. Now, since you say it has an X2 logo, some or all of that info may be completely wrong for you. Like I said, never had/used an X2 so I'd suggest you ask in the X2 section of the forums 
Yea we gotta know what chip you are installing...assuming its an X3 you will see the Xecuter Rox My Box logo and it will boot to the X3CL. If you have and X2 you'll see teh Xecuter2 logo and it will boot to the Xbox Dash. You won't have ftp unless you go with the 4981 bios. Otherwise you'll have to make a boot disk and install it that way.

None of the new BIOSes have an FTP server built in. It was removed before 4979 was released.
If you have a recent X2 BIOS (4981/4983) you WILL need a boot cd.
