Quick Dash Upgrade Question(s)

Hello All -

I've got a quick and easy question for the more experienced ones as I've been out of the scene for a couple of years...

I've got an Xbox 360 with a Samsung drive. A couple of months ago, I updated to the latest Dashboard & a friend helped me flashed my drive with the latest LT (2.0 or 2.1.) as I didn't have the equipment.

I made a post a couple of days ago and it was verified that due having a Samsung, I should be fine to go to the newest Dash. What I don't know, though, is I will have to reapply the latest LT firmware after upgrading the dashboard.

I do now own an Xecuter Pro - but don't have a module for the drive's power. I'm sure I could use a spare PC or rig something up for use, but still don't want to go through all the trouble yet unless I don't have to.

So... my main question is...

Given my hardware and current drive FW - may I upgrade to the newest Dashboard without having to reapply the flash on my drive?

If not and I must reflash the drive after the upgrade...

1. What may I use with the Xecuter Pro (for power) to do so? I plan to purchase something for that, but would like to do it today.

2. For software, I would assume JungleFlasher, but haven't done all the research yet. Any links would be a big help -

You need to flash your drive back to stock firmware before you can update to the latest dashboard. Once your dashboard is updated you need to flash to LT3.0.

To power the drive, i use ck3i.
As for the update, it depends what dashboard version your on now as to whether or not the new update will flash the drive firmware aswell. But as a wise man always say's, "always flash back to stock firmware before any major update".
I bought my usbpro and ck3i from ck3.co.uk, really quick delivery and very easy to use, just follow the jungleflasher tutorial.

lt3 hasn't been developed as samsungs don't support ap25.

Thanks Guys -

Looked, but can't find link to Samsung (MS28 or MS25 - don't know which yet) Stock FW download... Anyone have a link handy? :rolleyes2:

search google for lt firmware download.
I'd paste the link but i'm not sure if i'm allowed to post links. It's easy to find, comes in a pack with lates lt and stock firmware.

Okay- I googled "lt stock firmware pack download" and just downloaded a pack. Only problem is that I don't know which file is stock for my Samsung drive :)

you want to get it from the right place then you get the propper fw pack.not some out dated one.

SAM_OFW is the one you need.

I checked Xbins and found only one thing that matched, but couldn't find a download link.

Wait... Okay, I got it now...

LAST thing... (thanks again for your help) -

I have two folders for Samsung stock - Samsung_Post_13141 and Samsung_Pre_13141. How do I determine which to use?

Ha! I will...

I'm on 2.0.13604.0. SO I guess I use the Post one, huh. I'd think stock was stock, but guess not...
