hi guys were do I post xbox slim problems don't wana be labeled as a noob just joined and has only joing for help but I got a real head scratcher

can some one point me in the right direction ?

thx for the quick reply its a stock Xbox slim green light, syncs controller but no video hdmi or av cable tried resetting the video by nothing cheers again

prob needs reballed or reflowed

but it confusing as I have not red dot and if there was a hardware error it would spring a fault code ?

I have got one in my garage that does exactly the same i imagine its a southbridge or gpu issue never bothered to do anything with it though.

okay so put some flux under the chip reflowed it and then knocked the board and the chip fell off is it now ruined if not best option for getting it back on ? all the solder is all over the pins really annoyed with myself now it was reflowing really well lovely chrome balls now its ruined

Best fix... send it to someone who knows what they're doing.

Just out of curosity what did you use to reflow it? Cant you just clean it up , reball the chip and then reattach it?

yer heat gun lol no worries sorted now had a friend reattach it for me all good
