i have pretty good soldering skills, but when i look at the qsb boards for the nand-x the solder points are pretty small and then i look at my iron and the tip just looks to big, are there smaller tips that are able to be bought? or should i get a new soldering iron?

I use a 15 watt iron and I never had a problem. You can pick a cheap one up from a Radioshack. No need to buy a really expensive one unless you really need variable temperatures. But you can also solder the NAND-X directly without the QSBs.

Yea i used my 15 watt solder iron, but like the point you have to solder to with the orange cable for the coolrunner, is ridiculously small, i finally got it good, but it was pretty hard to solder to it

You mean right next to the HANA chip? I don't know I never had a problem with that. Guess I'm just used to solder tiny points like that since I actually have fun installing ps2 modchips.
