GENERAL Quick question regarding Liteon DG-16D4S 0401/1071

I saw on the manuals that the Liteon DG-16D4S 0401/1071 has an instruction guide for only replacing the pcb.

I assume that i can think of the 0401 as a 0225 and use either the kamakazi if its a winbond or the sputnik probe if its a MXIC,

or does the 0401/1071 really need a pcb replacement and theres no other way to do it?

You can Kamikaze or Sputnik hack them depending on the chip.

You can either Sputnik or Kamikaze it, depending on the chip type like all Lite-Ons.

Thanks guys, Opened my first slim and its a 0401, manufactured date is may 2011. Pffffftttt, Kamakazeee, here I come. Need to find the drill bit tomorrow morning =D

you can do it with the solder iron too.

I prefer drilling over the solder iron anyday, heat would make me sweat too much xD
