So the other day I was listening to a CD while playing black ops 2 from my hdd, and got tired of listening to that cd, so like an idiot I decided to hit the eject button to change the cd, then the system went back to FSD3, mid game. I was kinda annoyed, as I was playing the game from my 1TB HDD, online. So since then I have been looking for a way to stop this from happening, so if for some reason i decide to listen to a cd while playing a game again, and then decide to change my choice in music, it wont do this. Normally I would use my media server for this, but as my current living arrangement doesnt allow for this, I have been reduced to either re ripping my whole library with the xbox, or play the music from the cd. So I guess I am looking for a dashlaunch option that will stop the xbox from going back to the dashboard or an app that I can use that actually works to convert/transfer music to the xbox 360. I have only found 1 app for this, and have found it crappy at best, as if I tried to add more music later, it would either overwrite the songs, or leave the songs, and overwrite the database, and as I have over 40GB of music on my media server, it is a very time consuming process to convert it all for my xbox at once.

If I'm not mistaken, if you want to stop or change audio during playback while in game mode, hit the center button (the silver one I believe) It should pause the game and give you the playback options. Don't take it as fact, but that's the way I understand it to work.

Changing the song isnt the problem, it is changing the cd that the song is playing from. The moment I eject the drive it kicks back to FSD, like it would if I was playing the game from a disc. I want to know if there is a way to stop this behavior, I know there is a dvdexitdash option in dash launch, but I think that is for movies and games, that eject then sends it back to freeboot dash.

Try setting the dvdexitdash to false and see if it does anything. Usually if I put music on my hdd, it's on a fat32 partition of my hdd, and use the system player. I hardly ever use my dvd drive for anything.
