quick question

a while ago ld mentioned having E79 errors, but since then lve had no time to sort it, from what l gather its a hard drive related error code.

lm contemplating rather than going through the annoyance of sending the xbox back and fourth changing how l connect the drive with the dash on, basically lm contemplating connecting the drive via usb, problem is the amount of usb ports.

so my question is simple. lm contemplating getting a hub specifically this one: http://www.ebuyer.com/410531-c2g-usb-hub-usb-2-0-2-port-passive-hub-81651

the idea being that l can connect the wireless adapter and a thumb drive on the rear (one that will contain the dash), then round the front have an external to run the games from, my hope being that l can get around the E79 if its something else as l cant afford to get a new xbox at the moment, and l was hoping someone could tell me if my idea would work.

It should work I use a 4 port USB hub on the front of my RGH without issue. It recognizes the external hdd,plug and play charger and wireless adapter all without issues.

nice, that definitely opens up possibilities for me then. that said is your console a slim? as mines a Phat model tho its one of the last lot using the Jasper boards.

any chance you could link us to the make/model of the 4port hub you use, will give me an idea of what ppl know works.

Nope my console is a Phat. Falcon motherboard to be exact.

It has 3 usb plugs on the side and one on the end.

more useful info, considering yours is a falcon then there should be no reason a jasper wouldnt work, just hope l can find one that works..

l was contemplating a 2 port hub but if 4 ports work then that leaves me contemplating between either

the first gives option for power which could be useful if l connect thumb drives.
