RGH Quick Question

Hi Guys,

I have read a lot of the tutorials about the RGH but have a quick question. I have acquired an Xbox that is stuck in the update loop. The error is as follows Update Failed PV : 0.0.0.0. CV: 2.0.8955.0.

I cant get this xbox to update no matter what i try, so my question is can this be RG hacked even though its not got the latest dash on? I notice that on most of the tuts it always says to update to the latest dash, thats why i ask.

I am not sure about 8955 but likely you can dump the nand, create the ecc, get the CPU key, and create a retail dash to flash. When building the retail dash remember to set your LDV +1. I did this yesterday on a Slim that had a similar problem, however it was on 12625.

Have you tried running all of the update via USB from 2.0.8507.0 to 2.0.14699

Hi Tried everything to update the dash, but when a usb stick is inserted the xbox starts to load the welcome screen and freezes.

Has anyone else had the same problem and managed to RGH the console?

Try clearing the update.

Hold sync button
Boot console
Release sync when dash loads

Did you try the following:
Turn off console.
Hold sync button, power on the system while holding the sync button.
Once it boots release the sync button.
After that it may ask you to update, try the 14699 update.

If it has a HDD you could try to boot without HDD and see what happens.

EDIT2: You'll need a HDD for the 14699 dash.

Tried everything suggested to me on this forum as well as ixtreme.net. I think RGH is my last hope
