Quick question

Hey guys and girls!

I just wanted to ask that if I get a
-6421 VIA
-ck3 mini
-probe 3
-molex PSU
Will I be able to flash most phat consoles? forget about the slim ones.

Because I want to just buy phat rroded consoles and fix em up and flashing them to the latest ixtreme. And also will the 6421 cause any major problems? and can it spoof drives?

Budget is an issue here guys!

For proper fixing of rrod consoles. Budget shouldn't be your issue. Because if it is, you'll end up buying cheap rrod fix kits from ebay that don't last long or don't work at all.

And when we say spoofing is not supported. We mean by Microsoft. Since about 4-5 updates ago. Spoofed drives will not work in a 360 and them that have a different drive attached get a lot of update problems.

no no, im going to use the xecuter rrod kit 5 in 1 with AS5 thermal paste.
Will it do for a temporary fix?

Yeah, those rrod kits from executer are the best around.

and guys what does the probe 3 connect to? the things in the mentioned list above works with each other?

ok i know budget is an issue but i would seriously consider saving more an buying the good stuff, for a few extra pounds the equipment is so much easier to use and will save you time thus money in the long run, ck3i and x360 usb pro awesome kit and will do most drive related stuff, as rrod repairs unless you can get a half decent reflow station forget it, you will get more comebacks than its worth, sry but been there an tried that, most consoles in uk cost me £10 to post and if one goes wrong after a day thats £10 outter ure pocket gone bye bye. I test mine for 24HRS, LEAVE FOR 24HRS, RUN FOR 24HRS,LEAVE FOR 24HRS, test again then send out and still get the odd one comeback

All the above will work but make sure to buy RROD Kits from Xecuter as they are the best around and Yes the probe connects to ck3.

This will work fine for phat consoles.

However, I assume you will be using your desktop machine to do the flashing? As such, you might want to look into getting a X360USB/CK3i bundle. There are a few reasons I suggest this:

1) The X360USB is much, MUCH better for flashing than a VIA card (especially on Liteon drives).
2) You get the Xecuter XT adaptor included, so you don't need the molex PSU (it plugs into a molex on the inside of your PC to give you an external power port for the CK3i)
3) The opening tools included for PHAT 360's save you a lot of time!

If budget is really that much of an issue, then what you've listed will work, but I really suggest investing in one of the £65 bundles. They make things much easier and the opening tools are fantastic for working on PHAT boxes. They've shaved a good 5-10 mins off my repair times!
