Hi guys,
I intend on doing the following procedure (when I receive my probe 3 in the post).
1. Open 360 and extract the dummy firmware and dvd key from my liteon 93450c drive (02510c now) but not flash it.
2. Connect up the drive to the console, update to latest dashboard, attach hdd, sign in with profiles to update gamerscores.
3. Disconnect from LIVE, delete profiles and then recover profiles.
4. Open console once more and flash the liteon drive. Put back in console and enjoy.
Firstly, I want to know is there anything wrong with this plan?
Secondly, since I am posting this topic in the firmware help section, I need to know, is it ok to connect up the drive to jungleflasher, extract the dummy.bin file using the Probe 3 (and even save dvdkey to a txt file just to be safe) BUT not continue on to flash the drive.
Can I just literally turn off the ck3 at this point and disconnect the drive and put back into the console?
Note: I want stock firmware to be on my drive for the dashboard updating process however I want to extract the dvdkey first just in case a newer dash version may hinder this. I currently have the 13146 dash which is suitable for the probe 3 process.
