ive tried spoofing my hitachi 79 drive I assume you have to use the keys as supplied in txt document and copy n paste in the load key bin ? or do you use a donor drive key i.e benq ? I though id cracked it earlier as I was able to update my system cheers ade

ok im trying to update the fm to lt plus 3.0 that's within my firmware folder and ixtreme doesn't go over ixtreme does it so according to jf you have restore back to stock from which I don't have the official key . so as I read I have to spoof the drive somehow to stock then re flash to the latest lt 3.0 im currently on ixtreme 1.51

JungleFlasher has a function to restore a modified Hitachi drive to stock firmware.

Read through the PDF - the option is under the Hitachi tab.

However, it will only work if all the Hitachi firmware files are present in the Firmware directory.

When you flash a hitachi, JF doesn't touch the key sector. So yes it still has the "official key" on it.

That is, unless you manually change the key yourself.

This makes no sense to me.

The DVD key must match on the xbox and on the drive. That is all that matters.

Do you have the DVD key for the xbox you are using?
no I don't that's why I was trying to spoof the drive or rather read it as that within jf ?

lol ok will keep quiet for next few days
I think you should read the introduction pages of the JF tutorial.

They do a really good job of getting you acquainted with the necessary lingo and definitions.

The reason this was confusing and frustrating is that i think you have a misconception about what a DVD key is.
