Quick, random HDD question

Hi folks

Quick question: I have an ageing and fairly unreliable falcon jtag that I'm hopefully replacing with a slim RGH machine in the next couple of days. Is there any reason I couldn't strip the 500gb 2.5 sata drive out of my phat HDD & slot it straight into the slim drive bay & start playing? The phat machine is on the 13146 dash whereas the slim will be on 13604 if that matters.

If you did it right now, I'm pretty sure it would just pick up as a non-official HDD and then let you format it to a max of 16GB. But if you were to do it after the slim has been reset glitched, then you could just slap it in and play away like you can with a JTAG.

Cool! I've got a new HDD anyway but it's handy to know the options there.

Yes you can - this is exactly what I did with a 120GB of mine.
