2 questions:
(X3 ce)

1. When I solder the LAN/HDD/D0 wires to the motherboard, what part do I heat up with the soldering iron and what is the easiest way of going about doing it?

2. Where can I find instructions on the rebuild kit (xbox v. 1.6)? The link on this site to the instructions for soldering it to the X3 is not working.

1. Lay the wire on top of the already existing solder, touch your iron to the top of the wire, should melt it right into it.

2. Uhh... not too positive exactly where a guide is. You shouldn't really need one. If you have uncertainty on how to lay it onto the back of the board, then let us know, but it's not hard. If you see how it lays on the board, then you just solder all the silver pads to the holes located directly under/beside them. Not hard at all, however if you have any question please ask here, I don't want to be responsible for you messing up, just informing you how to do it if you think you can ;)

Tin the wire first. This means adding a little bit of solder to the end of the wire before you try to solder it to the motherboard. You might want to clean up the solder pad a little bit first by very gently scraping it with a knife or razor.
