Quick stupid XAPT3R question

I had the original X3 installed where I had to do the soldering. After taking the xbox apart over and over to redue soldering, I decided to go solderless. My question (and yes I've looked at the install guide) is this: I have the D0 wire soldered in...when I install the XAPT3R (It is in the mail now), do I have to unsolder the D0 point and attach it else where? Or can I leave it soldered? I have unsoldered the LPC already, just not sure if the D0 needs to be unsoldered too for reattachment somewhere else.

thanks

Unsolder D0 ?

Hi,

Based on what I read from earlier posts on the installation of the Xaptr3R - you should not have to de-solder the D0 point.

As you know, the Xaptr3R has a little Gold Wire that you push into the D0 point. I see two options for you -

a. Take the wire that is already soldered to the D0 point and solder the
other end to the gold wire, or to the base where the gold wire
contacts the Xapt3R.

or

b. Assuming the D0 wire is soldered onto the bottom of the MB - you
could just leave it there, tucked away (i.e., so it doesn't touch anything)
and just use the gold wire for the D0.

Hope that helps.

M.

It doesnt make sense yet, because I dont have the Xapt3r yet, but I think once I have it and look it over, Im sure it will be helpful. I just wasnt sure what to do with the D0.
