I have a ver 1.6 can I flash a bios to the same bios that cromwell 3001 is on. Just trying to get this right!!!!

yes, you can. I believe as a protective precaution, the new chips have flashbios v3.0.1 on banks 1234 and v3.0.3 on banks 5678 so that it will cover all xbox versions. For your case, you will need v3.0.1 flashbios since v1.6 has issues with v3.0.3. I believe flashbios v3.0.1 is in your backup bios by default (but don't quote me on it)

But make sure once you get x3config live running, to reflash the backup bios with the latest FlashBIOS.

I disagree. He has xbox version 1.6 and so should be using flashbios v3.0.1 or else he would have issues with flashbios v3.0.3. Just keep your back up flashbios as version 3.0.1 dude.

Thanks guy's, I flashed bank 1 with the newest bios from x-ecuter. I did not flash the back up bios with 3.0.1 before I over wrote it, do you think this will come back and bite me? If it was a mistake can I get 3.0.1 flashbios from the usual places?

nah, I think your backup bios is version 3.0.1. You can see if it is true by pressing both power and eject buttons at the same time. That should bring up backup flashbios. Yes, you can dl 3.0.1 from usual place if you need it.
