Hot glue can be easily removed cleanly with fingernail polish remover (acetone) without risk of damage.

I use hot glue on mine. It holds the wires nicely, and at delicate solder points it acts as an added defense against accidental pulls that could ruin traces.

No you can solder direct to the points, the qsb' are just to make life easier. Unless you have a slim then I think you need the post qsb.
First I've heard that a qsb needs to be used. I've done a few slims and never used the qsb's... not to knock them, I just don't use them.

I never put glue on solder points, never seem to see a reason for it if you know how to solder correctly.

I usually only use it to keep the wires where I want them (i.e. away from the coils for better boot times). I never put the glue directly on the solder points.

It has nothing to do with knowing how to solder or not. I put glue on the delicate spots to help keep the wire from moving. A good solder job wont protect from an accidental snag on some of the spots, just ends up with a ripped trace. I'd rather protect my work than risk it, that's all I'm saying. :) but, to each their own I guess.

I use hot glue on the back side of the board to keep the install looking clean but never on the solder points themselves. There should be enough HELP threads involving this so make it clear that it's not a good idea.

I am not on about the normal qsb's, just the post qsb. Using this improves boot times for slims.... See an info in link below

Oh ok... yeah, that's for boot times. I can see the use of that being nice, just not necessary. Thanks for clearing that up though

Oh.. and with everybody hating on the gluing of the solder points, I guess I'm just gonna give up on that. Yes, If everybody were jumping off a bridge, I would too haha

If using the pin headers, how do you connect them to CoolRunner?
Its the same wiring to the coolrunner, its just that they end with pin headers instead on the mobo end.
