Ok here's the situation,

My brother has bought my nephew a r-jtag ultimate kit for his jasper system and he tried to install it himself , instead of waiting for me to install it like we initially agreed.
I have just spent the last hour re-soldering the three small boards ( I cant think of the names at moment  ) and I have just looked at the r-jtag board ( Its been a long day :D ) and the solder pad for point F has been pulled .

My question to you fine gentlemen is, is there an alternate point or pin for point F and if so, where, or failing that is it possible to scrape some of the board away to reach a trace? ( its been ages since ive worked with something so small )

FYI, the console is a "virgin" and the only time its been opened is when I cleaned it out a few weeks ago, I will post more information and pictures tomorrow if needed ( to tired tonight ).

Any help would be very appreciated, thanks

Hi bl4k3y,

This is starting to pis me of, I managed to solder the wire to a copper trace and I have just been trying dump the NAND only to have an error with j runner ( Device not found ), so I have rechecked all connections and solder points ( no problems there  ) and I have desoldered the 5v wire to try to boot the xbox normally, to which I have been greeted with 3 red lights and a 0001 error.

Do you or anyone else have any idea what could be causing this?

Any info would be appreciated thanks.

While I was writing this my brother told me that when he removed the GPU x clamp he slipped and removed a little brown resistor ( I think ), but he didn't think it would matter and carried on with the QSB install.

Due to the fact that I keep my workbench extremely clean I will try to find it tomorrow and I post a photo of the damage to see if anyone can help with it

I know, he tends to rush into things, I will try to post some pics by the weekend ( I need to get my camera back from a mate ).

Just for querys sake, how much would it cost on here for a r-jtag reinstall ( or touch up ) and to reseat a pulled resistor ?, because ill outsource it the price is decent :)

Ok here's a few images guys, these have been taken with a crappy 5MP camera so the quality isn't very good, I will touch them up and re-upload if needed.

I have managed to find the broken off resistor and I think its from around near TP106, so if anyone can tell me anything about it I will be grateful

P.S. thanks for the help anyway guys, this is one of best forums ive seen.

point e on the RJTAG board looks bridged with the onboard xtal. Have you tried removing the retag board and writing the original hand back to the console? Also, i would post close up pics of the damaged areas first. It may be a fairly simple reapiar, but we can't tell without pictures.
